Matt is an IT Professional, mixing creativity with a technical passion. Currently working for Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager in the Azure CXP - FastTrack for Azure team. All views and expressions contained on this site and within his personal projects are his own.
Matt has a wide variety of technical interests ranging from software/application development, data platform technologies, and automation. He enjoys creating and contributing to projects that simplify complex tasks. This is evident within his current role in the Azure CXP FastTrack for Azure team, where he has taken many complex or routine tasks and automate them.
The creative inspiration includes a strong passion for music having played guitar most of his life, along with also dabbling in photography and art from time to time. Essentially Matt has a creative flare which he leverages as an advantage within these various hobbies but also within his professional career.
In addition to these hobbies Matt has been refereeing Touch Football for over 15 years and has represented Australia at numerous international events since 2010. As of May 2016 he held the ranks of #1 referee in QLD, #2 in Australia, and #3 in the world.
In June 2016 Matt was diagnosed with Stage 3b Bowel Cancer. It was one of the most challenging situations he had ever faced, from the surgeries, to chemotherapy, to recovery. For more information on this journey see the Bowel Cancer section.

A personal project I wrote to provide an easier lookup for SQL Server Lifecycle information as well as simplified health check. It includes an API backend that can be used for automation of health checks etc. Technologises used within the project include NodeJS, Angular 6, SQL Server for data storage.
